  • Pied avocets Recurvirostra avosetta, Brahminy ducks Tadorna ferruginea seldom visit the lake during winter.

THREATS AND CONSERVATION ISSUES

SILTATION: PERSISTING - Practice of cultivation in dry bed is adding up the problem.

WEAK BUND/POOR MAINTENANCE OF LAKE: EXISTING AND CONTINUED - Recently laid canals providing irrigation water has let to negligence of lake.

POACHING: ADDED - Traditional hunters are still on prowl in addition to new breed of guns.
