Highlight:
- 75+ Participants observed 70+ Tree species in three groups (lead by P Guruprasad , K Dinesh Kumar & A Shivaprakash; assisted by Dr. Manohar, Girija T, Tanuja DH, & Sahana M ). ARIVU trust co-ordinated the program. Few interesting sightings -
- Remembered late KB Sadananda, who is instrumental in spreading botany knowledge to many Mysoreans. Dr. Sampathkumar provided the list of Trees found in the Lingambudhi kere. Copies of the list provided to participants. (courtesy: ARIVU trust)
- Trees in Flower – Ehretia pubescens, Peltophorum pterocarpum, Pterospermum acerifolium, Cassia javanica, Crataeva magna, Albizia odoratisssima, Jacaranda mimosifolia, Kigelia africana, Mimusops elengi, Peltophorum pterocarpum, Santalum album, Plumeria alba, Plumeria rubra.
- Butterflies (just 16 species) – Common Jezbel, Tawny Coster, Common Leopard, Blue Tiger, Common Emigrant, Peablue, Common Mormon, ComCommon Line Blue, Common Banded Awl,
- Bird –calls of Pied-crested Cuckoo

- Field trip involves four hour strolling / walking on dirt track
